We continuously supply the pulp industry
For more than 20 years, Quimetal has been supplying the main pulp and paper manufacturers in our country, such as the Arauco and CMPC groups, among others. In this place, chemical reagents essential for its production process are produced, such as sulfur dioxide (SO2), sodium bisulfite, aluminum sulfate and magnesium sulfate.
Sulfur Dioxide (SO2)
In the cellulose and paper industry this inorganic reagent is used to reduce chlorine residues in the cellulose production process.
Sodium Bisulfite Solution
Another product that we manufacture for its application in this industry is the sodium bisulfite, a compound used to obtain a chemical pulp and paper. In addition, it is used for water treatment.
Aluminum Sulfate
The main application of this compound occurs in the treatment of water that is released from the production process in cellulose plants, as flocculant in the treatment of sanitary water and as a sticker in the paper industry.
Magnesium Sulfate Solution
This component is used to improve the physical properties of cellulose, increasing its resistance.
